This year has been challenging for everyone. Whether you’re a small business owner or employed member of staff, we have all suffered from the challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic has thrown at us. However, in typical fashion, we strive on and make the best of what has been a devastating period for many people.
We work in a range of settings, ensuring businesses, organisations and individuals have the first aid training they require in order to deal with the challenges in their own lives and workspaces. We have experienced the full gambit of scenarios and while Covid-19 has impacted our business, we have also had an extremely fulfilling year; we’d like to share with you some highlights.
Remember, if you would like to talk to us about our training provisions to businesses and organisations across the UK, call us on 07599 086885 or email us.
New Website Underway
We have been working hard behind the scenes to improve and update our website. We loved our old website but there was something missing. Working with web experts we have revamped and given our website a new lease of life.
Now, it’s even easier to navigate and find exactly what you need, and if you can’t you can get in touch with us through our chat facility! Our new site even lets your book and pay for your training online, so you are never too far away from following through on that resolution to learn new skills.
Mandy Training
This year we were delighted to welcome to the team, Mandy Godfrey. Mandy joined Cross Counties Training as a Training Coordinator and has quickly taken to the industry like a duck to water. In fact, earlier this month, Mandy passed her L3 in Training and Education meaning she’s one step closer to becoming one of our instructors. We look forward to helping Mandy develop further in her role.
Training Delivered
We have delivered countless training sessions up and down the country, our Emergency First Aid at Work course has been well received and we are looking forward to expanding this in the new year.
Also, our programme on First Aid for Mental Health programmes have been super popular as the public starts on the long road to recovery following the pandemic and the variety of lockdowns and social distancing protocols. We have all been through so much in the last 20 months, we feel as though Mental Health will be a big issue in the following 12-24 months as we all try and cope with these unprecedented times.
Keeping Up To Date
As a team, we have continued with our professional development, and encourage all businesses and organisations to ensure that their First Aid certificates are up to date. We are here to help, so if you need to renew your certificates make sure you contact us.
We spent the lull in social distancing and lockdowns in order to attend some industry events this year which have been invaluable in developing our courses for the new year.
Events like the Surrey Expo in the new year will enable us to network with potential clients and really get to know what businesses and organisations need from their first aid training moving into 2022 and beyond. One thing we can all agree on is that we miss the face-to-face interaction these events provide – you can’t quite beat having a conversation in person.
Offering Advice
We started a new blog – in fact, you’re reading this as part of that section of our website! In our blog, we aim to offer advice and information that you might not be able to find easily, in a way that you can understand. Too many articles are written about sensitive subjects in a way that non-health professionals can understand, we make sure that whether you are reading our blog, or attending one of our courses, you will leave with a better understanding of a subject.
Thanks to Facilitators
Last but not least, we couldn’t finish our year without thanking our team of exceptional instructors. These dynamic and motivating forces of nature travel the country to deliver our fantastic training courses, meeting our clients and representing everything that Cross Counties Training stands for. Thank you for your dedication and unparalleled skill in helping us become one of the leading First Aid Training providers in the country – long may it continue.
We would like to sign off by wishing all of our readers, friends, family, and clients a very happy holiday season, and here’s to a prosperous and healthy New Year!
